So, my brother found a listing for 2 tickets to tonight's World Series game here in Boston. I'm a huge Sox fan and woudl love to go. The seller is offering them at face value plus something additional. He requested "creativity" and listed a few things that he likes (Patriots tickets, music, etc). Now I didn't really have anything good to offer him that would really fit his criteria, so I offered to donate $500 to the Jimmy Fund in his name, or in the name of someone he chooses.
The tickets are $55/ticket. Will he go with the greed or will he be unable to pass up a chance to help some sick kids? We'll see. I should know within the hour.
Update: 1:15PM - No word back from the guy yet. It doesn't look good for me.
Update: 2:45PM - Still no word. I'll be watching the game from my couch.
